JED Voices Video: Anna Akana Shares Her Story
Anna is an actress, comedian, singer-songwriter, and filmmaker, who is sharing her story to reach out and help others. At 17, she lost her younger sister to suicide, and in the years that followed, she experienced PTSD, depression, alcohol abuse, anxiety, and an eating disorder. Listen to Anna talk about her experience, and how developing positive methods of coping helped her appreciate life.
