ABOUT THE POSITION:

JED is seeking a business development professional to join its staff as Manager, Program Outreach and Promotion. This individual will be responsible for engaging, recruiting, and on-boarding colleges/universities into the JED Campus program and other higher education offerings, as well as high schools into JED High School. This individual will also manage inbound inquiries about other consultation and programmatic offerings. The Manager, Program Outreach and Promotion works across JED, primarily with the Higher Education team but also with other departments (JED High School, Knowledge and Advising, Marketing and Communications and Development) to market JED’s programs, develop strong relationships with stakeholders and program sponsors, and assist interested schools and other audiences in successfully engaging with JED programs in a timely manner. The position reports to the Director of Higher Education and Student Engagement.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create demand for JED programs, primarily in the higher education space, through the development and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Steward the registration process for each school entering into a consultation agreement with JED
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with school administrators, program sponsors, and other clients
  • Develop promotional campaigns and marketing materials for JED programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to webinars and newsletters
  • Assist in maintaining content within some of JED websites (WordPress site)
  • Travel to conferences to represent JED programs and services
  • Aid in assessing success and satisfaction of JED programs



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with partner organizations including, but not limited to, direct advertising and marketing firms
  • Experience with social media, email marketing (including development/growth of email database), and online marketing
  • Understanding or interest in the mental health and education fields



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum BA/BS
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years professional experience
  • Strong project management and marketing experience
  • Track record of account management, business development and sales success 
  • Competent in utilizing large database (Salesforce or similar) with close attention to detail
  • Ability to take full responsibility for planning, launching and managing business development campaigns and initiatives
  • Experience with contract negotiation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-directed with strong follow-through skills
  • Team player
