Danica

I am a first-year student at Mills College in Oakland, California studying biopsychology. I work in my school’s Career Center, and starting this semester I will be a research assistant in the psychophysiology lab. My passion for mental health started in high school when I conducted a research project titled “The Effect of Race on Mental Illness.” I’m incredibly passionate about how one’s race affects the way in which they deal with mental illness. Most importantly, my goal is to raise awareness about the lack of representation within psychology and how that has a negative impact on research projects that are conducted.
