I am currently a junior at the University of South Carolina, where I am majoring in Experimental Psychology and minoring in Neuroscience. While at USC, I have devoted my time and effort to advocating for and supporting students with mental health concerns. I worked within Student Government to create USC’s first-ever peer listening service so students can receive mental health support from their fellow students. I also currently serve as the President of USC’s Psi Chi chapter, a resident mentor, and a Magellan scholar. Through my involvement in JED’s Student Advisory Council, I hope to develop initiatives that prevent suicide, diminish the stigma surrounding mental health, and encourage students to share their stories. In the future, my goal is to enter a PhD program for Clinical Psychology.
